Cindy Creighton, Nevada Taxpayers Association President

Cindy Creighton was appointed NTA President in 2017.  In her capacity, Creighton manages a member-driven non-profit association dedicated to advocacy for sound fiscal policy research and analysis for Nevada’s taxpayers.  Cindy has extensive experience working with public bodies, elected officials, and the legislative process.  She joined the NTA in 2016 as its Chief Operating Officer, bringing with her more than 14 years of association leadership, executive management experience, community and government relations, and business development.

Cindy maintains active involvement in several community committees and organizations.  Currently she serves on the Clark County Debt Management Commission, Transportation Resource Advisory Committee, and the Nevada Sustainable Transportation Funding Advisory Working Group.  She also sits on the National Taxpayers Conference and serves as its Treasurer.

Throughout the years, Ms. Creighton has served in leadership roles on multiple local boards including the McCaw School of Mines Foundation Board of Directors and the Class! Publications Board of Directors. She is a founding member of the Fabulous Las Vegas Scribes and currently serves as its Treasurer. She previously served on the Clark County School District School-Community Partnership Advisory Council, the UNLV Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies Roundtable, the I-11 & Intermountain West Stakeholder Partner Group, the Nevada Business & Industry Transition Team, and as a Governor’s appointee on the Standing Committee on Judicial Ethics.

Cindy lives in Henderson.  Raised in Northern Nevada, she has resided in Southern Nevada since 1996.
